Competitive Gymnastics Coach - Rachel Wheeler

I have been coaching gymnastics since 1986 in Florida, Georgia, and Indiana. I worked at Brown’s Gymnastics in Orlando, Florida as the Preschool and Competitive Compulsory Team Director. In Georgia I was the Gymnastics Program Director for the Albany YMCA. Presently I coach the competitive teams here at WVTG. I am also a NAWGJ certified gymnastics judge for the state of Indiana. I am a professional member of USAG as well as safety certified through United States Association of Gymnastics (USAG). I have a B.A. in Spanish Education and teach Spanish at Sullivan High School. I was a competitive gymnast myself for about 10 years in Illinois. I was a Class I gymnast (level 10) and was on the Nissan All-American Demonstration Team in 1984. I have a daughter, Kayla that was a level 7 gymnast in Florida. She is presently a junior at South where she cheers. She is also a competitive cheerleader for WVTG REBELS
